The National Library οf Greece is a partner in the European Erasmus + project “Τhe future of Cultural Heritage in Modern Europe”.
The project aims at developing innovative scientific and pedagogical methods in the field of European cultural heritage. Interns will be offered the opportunity to plan, develop and present their own research projects on cultural heritage, having access to NLG collections as well as their own working space. They will collaborate with the department of manuscripts and special collections of the NLG. Interns will also profit from the guidance of an NLG library expert, who will assist them in refining their research as well as introduce them to the way NLG operates.
Moreover, they will be actively involved in the development of the exhibition and other side- projects that NLG will organize from spring 2021 onwards, in order to honor the country’s 200th anniversary of the war of Independence. Interns will also assist in the organization of the workshops that will take place in the NLG premises, during the summer school in Athens in June 2022, in collaboration with the University of Athens.
At the conclusion of their internship, interns will be required to submit a report on their internship results.
